My legs ache. 10ish hours of walking around New Orleans in search of beautiful things.
I celebrated National Doughnut Day with beignets at Cafe Du Monde, and then proceeded to die in powdered sugar heaven.
It only took about 10 minutes for me to spill my iced coffee all over myself while trying to take a photo.
I’ve never been very good at street portraits because I always feel awkward asking people if I can photograph them, but I swear that everyone comes here looking for cameras to pose for. This couple demanded the photo.
I stopped at a shop called OMG!
Swooning like fuck over New Orleans architecture.
I stopped for watermelon mojitos before dying of thirst, and ended up at a gay bar in the French Quarter. Best drinks, best music.
There was no way I couldn’t go to one of the cemeteries. So beautiful.
Beads everywhere. EVERYWHERE.
I’d been running around all day, and went for a quick swim at the hotel pool in the afternoon because swimming in a rooftop pool in New Orleans is fucking amazing. Back out, running around for food and photos.
It’s silly and I wanted to do it. So I got a tarot reading. Apparently I’m going to have passionate romance and self-acceptance soon, but no job change. Bummer.
Bourbon Street. Don’t overdo it, dude.
It was only 11pm, and I hate feeling like I didn’t take full advantage of being somewhere, but my hips ached so much and walking for the past 10 hours kind of destroyed me. So I bought a cat mask and went to sleep.
Today: Drive through/to Texas. 9.5 hours. Hm.
